I actually started my cooking career – if I may say so – when I was about 4 years old. My father, who just loved to cook in his free time, used to pull a wooden foot stool to the kitchen counter on which I was standing and watching his cooking activities. And there on that foot stool my love for cooking got its start.
My father used his pressure cooker for almost every meal. I still remember how impressed I was as child seeing the steam gushing out through the pressure cooker’s vent on the side. I eventually inherited his old pressure cooker and used it for another 30 years, impressive isn’t it. Todays pressure cookers are so much easier to use and so much safer than those old models. And the mini pressure cookers are specifically made for small kitchens.
One of the most obvious advantage of a pressure cooker is its huge time saving feature. People who don’t like to spend too much time in the kitchen will appreciate this. Some models have an operating valve that offers high and low pressure settings in order for you to cook your meals at ideal speeds. A pressure cooker is generally even faster in preparing meals than a microwave.
Ease to cook is another plus of pressure cookers. You can’t have it easier. You add a little water, the vegetables or whatever you want to cook, you lock the lid and after a short time your meal is ready to eat. The cooking happens so easily.
This is how a pressure cooker works: during cooking the lid locks down and the inner sealing ring keeps the steam inside. A pop-up pressure indicator shows the actual pressure which you can reduce by lowering the heat on the stove. A vent or overpressure plug releases the steam if it builds up excessively.
A pressure cooker delivers nutritional benefits that are as important as speed and ease to cook. This nutritional benefit comes from the fact that you only need to add very little water because the water won’t boil away as well as the nutrients, flavors and colors of whatever you cook in the pressure cooker. People use pressure cookers also for canning. There are so many uses possible.
Meat for example – and I learned that from my father too – you can brown first in the pressure cooker before the lid is locked on. Then you add whatever the recipe calls for, vegetables, potatoes, spices, and only then you lock the lid on and cook the meal.
A mini pressure cooker is made for one or two persons and fits thanks to its small footprint in every small kitchen. Almost all models of pressure cookers work on any stove-tops may they be electric, gas, ceramic or induction.
The handling of a pressure cooker changed also through the last years and decades. The pressure cookers aren’t as heavy as they used to be, and some models are even dishwasher safe, except the lid of course. For hand cleaning it’s recommended to use nonabrasive cleansers. All models come with instructions of how to use and how to clean the new pressure cooker.
If you’d like to get a pressure cooker but decide to look for bigger quart sizes, you’ll find that most of the brands offer different sizes for their pressure cookers.

Awesome! that’s all I can say. I cook most of my meals in this. The 4 QT is the perfect size for 2 people if you don’t want left overs, or for one like me. I like to cook up enough to last me for 2-3 meals, and this is the perfect size. I just got back from a 3 months road trip and this was my main cook pot.
Love this simple to use and inexpensive cooker. I use it every week! The cooker comes with a recipe booklet and very clear instructions to help you understand. Love, love, love. Wish I’d bought one sooner.

So glad to add this pressure cooker to my kitchen. I’ve used it several times and am in love with it!! Very safe and the quality is excellent. I like the choice of cooking at a high or low pressure setting and the steam release is quieter than the older pressure cookers
It has saved me so much time around dinner time! I absolutely love it and use it at least few times a week, especially when I cook bigger pieces of meat. What used to take me hour and a half or two hours not takes me 20 to 35 min to cook or even less.
A pressure cooker is a miraculous piece of gear. I bought it to make bone broth, which it does in 1 hour vs 24 hours in the slow cooker. Then I discovered that you can cook a million other things in it really well, and really fast.

This is a perfect size for a family, and is built very well. In fact, it does as good a job or better than the high-dollar pressure cookers going for well over a hundred bucks. Safe to use, easy to clean and operate. Solid solid solid construction of pot and sandwiches bottom.
Easy to use, easy to clean, consistently good results with a variety of foods. I’d recommend this product.
