The following Top 2 wood pellet stoves resp. wood pellet fireplaces come with great features that make it really easy for you to start a fire and to keep the fireplace clean and nice looking.
Let’s take a look at those features and what you need to know about wood pellet fireplaces and their maintenance.
Wood pellets are made from compressed sawdust and other wastes from lumber manufacturing. Their great advantage is that they burn with a high combustion efficiency thanks to being extremely dense and of low moisture content.
There are different brands of wood pellets available. You’ll get generally a recommendation by the fireplace manufacturer which is a great start. But for your unique fireplace and home situation it’s always good to try different brands of wood pellets to find the best one for you. Try to find the pellets that heat well, don’t leave too much ash and clinker residue.
Speaking of ash: during the heating season you will need to clean and maintain your wood pellet fireplace properly to keep it operating efficiently. I found this advice for your weekly tasks around your fireplace. Once a week empty the ash drawer, clean the glass and the heat exchanger according to your manual, look for clinkers and build-up soots and empty unused pellets from the fireplace hopper

The stove has given me very little trouble and it appears to be very well built. Easy to clean. Maintenance is quick, easy, and straightforward. Built in thermostat, so you don’t need a separate thermostat on the wall with a wire running to the unit.
Since installing and running my Serenity stove, I have yet to hear my propane furnace kick on, even on the most arctic sub-zero nights. The Serenity has paid for itself in saved fuel costs in just the first heating season. Also, the heat generated from propane simply does not compare to the deep warmth of wood pellet heat. The house no longer feels “chilly”.
Works great for the price cannot be beat! Have not turned on heater since. Love it.
